WASHINGTON, DC, May 22, 2025 — The Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE) has awarded $50,000 to Electrify DC for a project focused on engaging and educating tenants in buildings participating in the Affordable Housing Retrofit Accelerator (AHRA).

Electrify DC is delighted to partner with CARECEN and ReDelicious DC on this initiative. The grant supports efforts to help tenants understand and embrace energy efficiency and electrification upgrades in their homes, contributing to the District's goal of achieving 90% fossil fuel-free homes by 2040. This project will create educational resources and foster communication to ensure tenants are informed, comfortable, and satisfied with their buildings' decarbonization efforts.
